Cave dweller repeats

Gudday all,

Just finished up a Cave dweller but I was only getting 4 repeats at maximum feedback.  I compared it to my Sea Urchin, and that was doing something like 12-16 before oscillation.  I tried 2.2k in r12, and that gave me a few more so I jumpered it completely, gave plenty of repeats but was a bit dirty.  I've put a 100r in there and that's giving a nice bunch of repeats... but still no oscillation.  Which is fine for me, but does anyone know what the issue might be?

Are you sure all your other resistor values are correct? Specifically R7, R9 and R11.

I went back and tested those resistors as 22k, 1k, and 2k, respectively.  So, I'm at a loss.  I might go back and reflow everything, but it seems to work well even if it doesn't oscillate.
