How to mix with pedals as outboard effects

Hi folks

I just wanna share a youtube channel that my friend Ulf is running called "Hobo-sessions".
It's mostly about studio recording tips and tricks, but also some cool DIY related videos aswell:
How to make a garden hose delay, building your own ribbon microhone, making reverb impulses ect.

The latest video is about how to use stompboxes as outboard gear while mixing.
For this example he is using the Into the Unknown(!), with mixed results.  

I traded the pedal for one of his DIY ribbon mics about one year ago. Great microhone
