I've had this problem for a while, where the 3PDT shaft is getting bumped and slightly depressed by the treadle. The result is a mechanical clicking noise coming through the amp. I want to keep my LED so a carling is a last resort. Is there a certain brand 3PDT anyone has used to correct this problem? It needs a shorter throw. If I lower the switch it will not turn on or off. The gromets look fine.

Same problem here. I currently see two options: Use a Carling 316 (they say, these would be better, but they only have a 2pdt, so you would have to build a millenium mod for the LED, which you might be able to solder directly to the switch) OR try to prevent the knob from moving out of the switch completely - it needs to come out enough for the inside pin to flip back (check this: http://www.electronicorange.cz/en/blog/dpdt-and-3pdt-foot-switches-their-function-and-gut-shots), so we are talking about the last mm of action. My best bet would be that a piece of shrinktube shrunk over the "head" and on the thread of the switch would solve this (but would probably not work forever...).

Third option would be to use PCB-mount-mini-switches and some knob from the outside to activate it (like in Line-6-pedals).

ANY OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS HIGHLY WELCOME.

Another option might be this one:

If you combine that with a momentary micro-switch adjusted to the right height, it migh turn out awesome  8)

i cut the rubber gromets. out on a wah for a friend. is the switch one of the blue ones?

Sorry for the late response. Yes its blue. I bought new grommets all the way around heel and toe. I also removed the LED as the soldering joint connecting it to 9v pad directly under the bottom right side of the board (where the molex connector is) just wasn't a quality connection. I think that was amplifying the noise. So the switch still clicks/hits when in the toe town position, however it's not being amplified through the pedal. It's got a much quitter operation now. I bought a Carling, but I just haven't gotten around to installing it. At this point I feel like not even bothering with it, as I'm running out of the original wire length to work with.

Here is a 3PDT Alpha switch with a longer bushing. I have not tried it in a wah yet but it looks like the perfect solution.  Maybe someone who has used one in a wah can chime in with their experience???
