Someone gave me a Devi for the ilf secret Santa and it fucking rocks so colour me converted. I think it was the vintage fuzz maker.
The vintage fuzz master is one of the variations I built. It's a pretty sick octave up effect IMO!

I kinda always thought Devi took the approach of collecting a bunch of parts and seeing what could be made from them (a totally valid methodology, IMO). The few schematics I saw were pretty unusual.

OT: It makes me think of a fun little project we could do. Like, list 30 odd parts with or without values and challenge members here to design something with only those parts. This kinda piques my interest.
That would be a fun challenge!!!

I like this idea. It would be cool to see the different types circuits concocted from the same pile of parts. Maybe do some sort of contest with the contestants submitting a schematic and audio recording  ;D ;D ;D

Now that sounds like fun.

I thought it would be cool to see what can be made from harvesting parts from a single electronics device (like an old stereo receiver or whatever). I once took apart an old thermostat and found enough parts to make a decent fuzz.

It IS some crazy history. But Dwarfcraft should get props for leaving it all behind. They bought out the designs and brand and have really cleaned up the quality and consistency. Nice new pcbs with board mounts (no more tape), new bass mods, powdercoated enclosures, a sense of humor over drama, scaled back the ocean of stupid and unusable variants... However they came to be, some of these fuzzes are truly unique.  I've built as many classic and modern fuzzes as you guys and I've only ever been satisfied with a couple. But my Vintage Fuzz Master, Bit, Hyperion, US, and GZ are all I've kept. No noisy muff, mojoface, or rodded rat can touch 'em. As a long time fan of Devi Ever (pedals, not the person, who recently changed her name BTW) I'm glad to see the drama in the past and hope for a successful new future for my old pal Aen.

Agreed - Dwarfcraft seems to have handled a bad situation very well. As for Devi, drama continues to follow her:
