Is there any way to add an extra led of a different color for the crunch/high gain footswitch, thus having an indication of which gain is selected (crunch or hi-gain)?

If you look down the Hi-gain/Crunch stompswitch, you have two columns of 3 lugs each. The rightmost column is where the switch hooks up to the PCB. The leftmost column is for the LED. If you notice the ground is connected to the middle lug, while the LED connects to the bottom most lug. If you want to add another LED for the crunch channel, add another led on the top most lug.

Actually I just realized the layout has the switches layed out grid style. You will add an LED to position B1 for the crunch channel LED. Hope that helps. Wire the new LED up to power the same as the rest.

You can get dual colour LED's that have 3 legs. Middle leg is a common anode, and you get a certain colour depending on which cathode is grounded out. By wiring the legs to the 3 pins on the 3pdt, you could use one LED to show the gain state.

Ive heard that dual color leds can cause unwanted noise, any thoughts. Ive never used them before simply because of those noise issue reports.

I've seen people use them in pedals with buffers, like Boss stuff, but I don't see much of them in TB pedals. I've heard the same thing though, just haven't looked much into it.

I believe that can happen with LEDs that automatically change color -- color cycling LEDs. The dual LED to which Mark refers shouldn't have that problem.

Ive used the dual color led's with no issues.
