Thanks in advance to anybody who can help me out.

I'm building a Bloviator as a gift and need to make it so it can run by both wall wart and battery.
Can anybody help me with how to go about doing this?

Also, how would I wire the LED to activate for both battery and wall wart?

Okay, I got it working with both battery and power supply but am not sure if the battery will drain because of the way I've done my wiring.

Because there is no "switch" terminal on baby board pcb's I wired the LED from the top left footswitch terminal to the negative leg of the LED (as shown in the baby board build guide). I then wired the positive leg of the LED (via a 4k7 resistor) to the middle terminal of the DC jack which also runs to the 9v in of the pcb.
I did the rest of the wiring based on the regular wiring guide.

My question is:
Will this wiring cause the battery to drain power even when the wall wart power supply is plugged in if I don't unplug the input guitar cable ?
