Good evening folks,
this is my first 1590A build. Now that I finished, I want to do another 1590A. Really saves some space. But how some of you manage to put 4 pots in there is still a mystery to me. This board is rather small and the lumberg jacks aren't the big ones either, but it's really a challenge to do everything on such a close space.

I decided to not use any labels this time as it's only volume and the enclosure is a standard black Hammond one. Instead I used a big ass jewel (red 8mm LED under there) and a transparent chicken head. IMHO, it fits together really nice.

You had to put that giant bezel into a 1590A now haven't you? :D Craziness. Looking great!
I still like that compressor a lot.

Nice :) Better be careful or you'll wind up like me and do the odd 1590A build just for the challenge!

cool build, especially the bezel. OS's are pretty subtle, I like to think of them as sort of compressing preamps.

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

dats a giant bezel :)
nice job man ;) starting my first 1590A build soon too ;)

since theres no pcb mount pot, how did you mount the pcb? or is it just stable because of the small enclosure?
(just curious)

I used a 9mm pot and attached some longer pieces of solid core wires to make it pot mounted. The lower side of the pcb rests on the plastic of the lumberg jack. I had to desolder the socket for the 4558 to make it fit, which was a pain in the **, but it works now and that's all that matters ^^
