thanks all for your whishes, and also, for all the words, i know that doctros are not enemy, but somehow, i dont like neddles, or medicine, as long as i can bear it, now its getting better, no pain, but man i cant laugh, seriously, it kills me, but they say tomorrow i can go back home, it was a big cut they made me , i saw it in the early morning when the nurse was curing it, i can only take liquids for a week and piss its the most painful thing i can do now.

Now for my appendectomy story!

So this one time, I was feeling a little backed up, constipated really. It was by 25th Birthday actually, and my wife and I were planning to go out for dinner after she got back from work. I had spent the entire day (which I had off) on the couch playing video games, and I decided to take a shower before we headed out when my wife got home. I sat on the toilet for like 10 minutes before getting in the shower, and I just couldn't go, you know? Took my shower, tried again on the John, and then thought "Forget it, I'm hungry!"

So we get to the restaurant, and I'm feeling so weird that I don't even get to the table. I tell my wife what drink to get me, and then I go sit in the bathroom at the restaurant for like 10 more minutes. I just couldn't make anything happen! I decide to go home, so I go find my wife, we apologize to the server who kindly doesn't make us pay for the drinks, and we head home. I'm not really telling my wife anything, and she's not really understanding what's up, so she's kinda mad when we get home and I just crawl into bed. So we start to fight. I try to go again, and now I'm so uncomfortable that I'm just shedding clothes. Pretty soon, I'm naked in bed, groaning, while my pissed off wife is in the living room. Next thing I know, she's left,. and I have no idea where she's gone.

So I send her a text to the effect of "I just need you to help me out not punish me for being in pain" - only I send it to a friend of ours who has the same name as my wife! I end up sending the text to my wife, who's off getting A&W because it's getting late and she hasn't eaten, but she comes home angry anyway. She tells me to call this health hotline, and she dials the phone number and hands me the phone, which tells me I have to wait 10 minutes for a person to talk to. I hang up because I'm out of patience, then I go try and go to the bathroom again.

So I'm sitting there, squeezing hard, and then the next thing I know, the door is hitting me on the head. My wife says all she heard was a faint, "help" from the bathroom, and then a big crash. Turns out I was squeezing so hard all the blood drained from my head and I fainted off the toilet. When my wife came she opened the door which smacked me in the head and woke me up.

So now she's finally concerned about me, so she calls the healthline, which wants to send me an ambulance, but we decline and my wife takes me to the hospital. We end up waiting around till about 3 in the morning and they tell me they need to do a scan on me but they're pretty sure my appendix needs to come out. About 2 PM then next day I'm out of surgery.

Also of note in that story, I had morphine for the first time, made a complete fool out of myself coming off the anaesthetic after my surgery, and it took me about 2 weeks to begin to feel normal again. I had to preach about 10 days later and even standing for 20 minutes was rough.

Get well soon! I had an appendectomy when I was 21. The recovery is pretty quick...you should be up and about within a couple of days. Good news is that scar will heal up nicely...mine is barely noticeable 20 yrs on. I remember walking around campus from class to class hopped up on pain meds. Kind of a funny memory to take away.

Depends on the severity.
I was in the almost died camp age 14 perforated appendix
I was in hospital for a few weeks, had a tube down my nose to extract bile, lost 2 stone, couldn't do exercise for 6 months.

It's no joke and I wish you as good a recovery as possible. The worst is over.

Note: mine was medical incompetence misdiagnosing it, we went to the doctors a few times and they never figured it out...even am internal exam (how pleasant) didn't inform the doctor...
