Chunkchunk: Using polarized capacitors for C1, C6 & C9

Hi Guys!

I'm close to finishing my Chunkchunk, but I accidentally ordered electrolytic capacitors for C1, C6 & C9. I know this probably won't sound different - or at least I wouldn't hear it - so I want to use them in my build (and it's really hard to get non polarized 1uF caps where I live). But I don't really know where the + and the - side of the cap should be, could someone help me here?

Thanks,
Daniel

Daniel, negative side goes to ground. On the PCB, C1 and C9 will have the minus side of the caps facing the top of the board (in the direction of where the pots go) and for C9 the minus side will face the opposite.

In general, when subbing electrolytic caps for film, the positive side goes towards the highest voltage source.

Hi!

Thanks for you reply! I know that the negative side always goes to ground, but I didn't know how to do this in this build. I also didn't know that the positive side goes towards the highest voltage source. That's really good to know, thank you! :)
