Pork Barrel - LFO ticking in bypass and engaged?

Hi all,

So, the Pork Barrel I built two years ago is having a small issue. I can hear some faint, rhythmic popping that changes rate when I adjust the rate knob. It goes away when I'm playing and the effect still sounds great.

I can sometimes hear it in bypass too, though. Then if I turn the pedal on or off a time or two, it will stop. This would speak to a grounding issue, correct? Could it just be that I need to tighten the footswitch nut or something?

I used a 1776 3PDT board, so pretty much everything is grounded to the switch. My build is just a v3207. It doesn't sound like I need to post voltages as the effect still sounds good. Thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction!

Mine doesn't make a peep, so I would think it is the LFO leaking somehow..

just a WAG.

Thanks for the reply! I did manage to fix this. All I had to do was tighten a couple of things that came loose (nuts on the footswitch and the depth pot). Modulation effects do some strange things when not grounded right!

Good info to know...twitchy things those LFOs...

Oh how poetic!
