Amp mod report (with major Pryde shout-out!)

I'm Impressed, nice work.

I have a Blues Jr. and love it.  I have browsed around Bill M's site but could never decide what to do - he has so many options.  Did you just do the Basic Kit?  Or did you change anything else while you were in there?

Bob, I got his basic kit for the green board version as well as a new input jack that Bill pre-wired with shielded cable. Those things were just $37 plus shipping. I ordered the three 22uf caps in the power supply from Tube Depot. Bill sells those as well for just $10. The only reason I didn't get them from him was because I wanted to wait and see what all caps his basic kit has you swap out. I was needing to do those as well because the amp is pretty old and just needed a basic recap on top of the mods.

Gordo, you're right, they're pretty chintzy boards, but ironically I found that makes it easier to make some fixes if you pull up a pad. It's really easy to scrape away some coating over the traces and use some component lead to rebuild the pad/trace.
