Hi all. I'm building a T-Wrex from Chi_boy and it has two separate sections on one board, distortion and boost. Should I use shielded cables on both or just the tips on the in and out jacks. Hopefully this makes sense.

Shielded cables on both the in/out and boost in/out would be the best way to ensure a quiet operation although it is optional.  You may want to see how it works without shielding first.

The TW circuit has a ton of gain on tap, and like other high gain effects (boneyard, etc), they do have a higher potential for squealing and noise.

I used shielded cable on my Upperdecker and it made the world of difference. Its super quiet now. I notice for the Upperdecker that the input wire was the noisiest but I shieled all the cables because I had it on hand. Its the first time I used that cable and I think I will also use it in a Mudbunny just to see if I can make it any quieter at full gain.
