My first iron transfer

This is for a tube screamer I haven't boxed yet. It is my first iron transfer- came out ok after the clearcoat. I wish someone would have told me NOT to move the iron when applying pressure. Oh wel!

Looks good.. I have never tried this process before. Was it a tutorial you followed or read about?

That does look nice. What transfer paper did you use? This could be a nice way to do it in the future.

I used dark tshirt inkjet transfers from Michaels. 3 Pack for around 6 Bucks (after the standard 40% coupon!). I'm still applying the clearcoat, which is krylon triple thick. I'm pleased though. A few lessons I learned;

1. Don't move the iron while applying pressure. Im so used to pushing it around with press n peel for etching that I did it while transferring and caused little creases.

2. Cut design out with an xacto, not scissors (duh).

3. Keep your effing cats away

On the printer, go into preferences and do custom settings. Make all the colors bold and change to the highest quality output format. I upped the dark hues. Had to fool until i got the best one, but it worked!
