SeaUrchin strange problem

It`s been a while since I`ve been here!
So first of all Hello again!
Right on the topic. I decided to play with SU (self etched) but there was only ONE repeat. All of the components seams to work right and then I checked the FDBK pot - no readings with DMM. Replaced it with another pot A50k and voila - tails. The problem is that after I put back the pot on it`s place, tightened the washer and pressed the switch again there was only ONE repeat. Is it possible that the pot is somehow shortening?
Forgot  to say that all the readings on my DMM for IC1 and IC2 are right ones (I`ve checked them twice)
