I know what you mean, but there's a bump in the Cry-Baby shell that won't let you mount it at a right angle...... 

Hah... didn't know that. It's obviously high time for me to finally get a wah pedal and take it apart.

The wah shells from Pedal Parts Plus are actually designed so the 3pdt can sit in there at a right angle. Unfortunately the screw holes are poorly tapped and a PITA to deal with...

Usually tight. But on awkward or high gain stuff I'll usually keep things apart or use shielded. Which has turned up in a few of my recent builds (doppelganger, last two Klones have it on the output because of where it ended up with the board being sideways, etc).
