so you had to build a new back cover??  what's the final measure?

I used the original base plate.
I just eye-ballled the angle using the baseplate as a measure.

...I know, shouldn't work, Pythagoras and all that...

But it works for two reasons, firstly, the baseplates are usually a bit longer at both ends than the box.
Second, we're not making a simple triangle, the front and back sides already slope, after it's cut the front and back are no longer at right angles to the base either.
All these things seem to give you enough wiggle room to pull it off.
