My Aquaboy

Older version Aquaboy finally done. I got a spare "double delay time" add on board from someone on diystompboxes.com, so it has the extra delay chip but not the LFO mod. Love this pedal!!!!

The LED was from a grab bag and I didn't know the color, I think the blue LED detail "makes" the white enclosure shine!

Since the double delay time boardmakes this slightly "taller" than average in the guts dimensions, I used a deeper/taller type 1590 enclosure - a little blocky but gives it a nice substantial feeling

at the same time I did this non-madbean SSM2166 chip compressor in a similar box/design, but silver/grey

hey all quick question that I should ask in another area but...
MN3005 - 2K Fakes from small bear... if I use 2 of those in the Aquaboy DLX
how much delay time will that give me?   600ms?
Worth using? I am not really interested in delay times past 600ms that much...

Not sure about the 3005s. I used 3205's in this and it's the original (early/old - been working on it for a while!) Aquaboy, not the deluxe...

1 x MN3005 - 4096 Stages - 300mS MAX (without whine)
1 x MN3008 (or fake 3005) - 2048 Stages - 150mS Max

So 2 fakes you'll get 300mS you'd need 4 chips for 600mS

Worth using though yes.

 Ah ok.... hmmm
that would be too much of a bother to rig 4 chips into this pedal without an oscilloscope to get everything right.  Bummer... I may as well use a couple of those BL3208B's for a 300ms delay, I am sure they are cheaper than those fakes from sm bear since I see a pair of BL3208B's for about $3
