Yep, they expand as the bubbles escape until the bubbles do escape then they collapse into a sad, deflated peep.

That is a 5mm yellow lens with a yellow LED in it.

Thanks for the info.  So if you use the lens and the spacer, you don't need to have one of those black plastic panel mounts?  It is a bit confusing looking at the data sheet from mouser.

Yeah, the lens and the spacer are all I use.  That is usually enough to hold it in place, although you could glue it to make it extra secure.
