Cherrybomb Gating - solved! and pre-gain?

Edit: I went back and redid some fairly heinous looking solder joints and it's working fine. 
also, was thinking about adding a pregain, as I need to roll back the vol on my SG to get some real clean boost happening. any thoughts on a suggested value?


hey all, I've built up a cherrybomb, and i'm getting serious gating. At high full gain i'm getting some fairly healthy fuzz, but it is not sustaining.
at lower gains it is super farty and gated, and I have to hit the strings pretty hard. i'm not getting anything resembling a clean boost.
The only sub was using bc109's for all Qs. I had previously tried pn3565 with the same results.
have double/triple checked all resistor values.

here are the voltages:

What are your reading for Q3 collector now?it should read arround 5.1 volts as well as should Q2.
