Hi all -

Can I get some help with how to wire the Boost switch for the Tube Sound Fuzz? There are three solder lugs on the pcb - how do I wire it up, please?

Middle lug of the switch to the middle pad on the board. Order doesn't matter for the outside pads.

come off D1 with leads to a dpdt switch
bridge the outsides of the switch with each diode. now you have a selecter switch

Um. What are you referring to?

The boost switch in the Snarkdoodle has pads on the PCB and there are no diodes. It switches between two minimum gain resistors in the feedback loop of IC1A.

brian mentioned the use of 2 different diodes
although i dont think it will make a difference looking deeper into the road map

Pretty sure the only diode on the snark doodle / tube sound fuzz is for polarity protection. Switching will have NO effect on the sound....

Can I ask one last question please - the switch I have is on-off-on.

Will that worjk or does it need to be on-on (two throw).

i think I might have bought the wrong switch.

Thanks

jeffaroo

your switch will work its just that you will have adead spot in the mid.
id just run over to radio shack and problem is solved.
i hate radio shack prices but sometimes it just happens

I had a similar question.  The pedal is wired up and works great.  I noticed that on Gain two (tube sound fuzz) once the volume is past 3 o'clock it creates feedback and the original signal completely disappears.  I have all three lugs from the toggle switch wired to the three pads on the board.  Would this create the problem Im experience.  Again it's only in the higher gain setting?
