Does anyone know of a really simple delay that can be wired to vero board and isn't took complicated for someone with only a couple pedals built?

jeffaroo

ive seen a few veros on freestompboxes.
for some reason i cant get into the sight anymore.
keeps timing out on the page load.
if it were me, i would get a cave dweller for my first build
easy and a ton of fun to play with. want to drive the ol lady nuts ?
build a couple of them !

Smalltime would be a really good one.

It's a good sounding Rebote derivative. There are also vero layouts for the Deep Blue Delay.

Here are two good resources for vero builders:

Here is one. Classic PT2399 delay. sounds good and not too complicated.

Thanks so much guys I really appreciate it! Since I'm still pretty noob I think I'm gonna wait till some cave dweller boards are available again then tackle some of the vero projects you guys posted. What is the tonal quality of the dweller?

wow that little thing sounds amazing. totally fits my rig.

just make sure you read
http://www.madbeanpedals.com/downloads/BabyBoardGuide.pdf
at the top of the baby board project page
These are mini boards and require different parts like 1/8w resistors
still a easy build, i went to radio shack and got a 1/8w resistor pack with a whole ass load in
one package for something like 8 bucks

Cave dweller sounds great, and you can build it without using the 1/8 W resistors (standing 1/4 w), provided you're not trying to fit it into a 1590A.

If you're just starting out with vero, personally I'd suggest not starting with delays.  Troubleshooting vero is hard enough as it is, and vero delays are a pain in the ass.  I love vero builds, but I stay away from delays.

Between Brian (madbean), Josh (1776effects), and Rej (Grindcustoms), there will be a pile of delay boards availble in January, should keep you busy.  Build the the multiplex, it's awesome.

I can hardly get a Bazz Fuss to work on vero. :'(

It'll fit, but it's tight (I hadn't planned to put it in a 1590A when I originally populated the board). Some insulation tape on the inside of the backplate should ensure that nothing shorts.
