Engineer's Thumb Bass Mod

If I were modding the Engineers thumb compressor to be suitable for bass, would I just change the input cap to 1uF? What generally goes into modding pedals for bass?

It wouldn't hurt, but I don't think it's necessary for a 4-string to go above 100nF. You might need to raise the threshold a little, maybe 2.2M, so socket that and the input cap maybe.

Actually this is what Merlin Blencowe had to say on the subject:

It will work fine with bass right off the bat. You could increase the 100pF cap to 220pF if you like, which will reduce noise, since you don't need as much bandwidth.
