Slow Loris/Runt LED question

Howdy,

I'm building my 2nd Runt for a friend but this time I'm going to put it in a larger enclosure (not a 1590A) and I was thinking of doing the classic " flashing LEDs for some rat's eyes" on the box.

However, instead of the 5mm or 3mm LED's I was wondering if I could use 2 giant 10mm LEDs?

Also, on the Runt board I'd just be replacing D1 & D2 with the LEDs correct?

Check the forward voltage drop of the 10mm LED's.  If they are similar to 3 and 5mm, i cant see why they wouldnt work?

The led's are in the clipping stage of the circuit.  if you havent got your board yet, you could build the slow loris instead, it has a diode clipping option.
