I like the 2n1306! These are some of my favorite NPN Ge transistors. I've actually got a 2n1304 in my Cosmo. I've got the 2n1306 on my as-yet-unboxed "Fuzzball" (Keeley Fuzzhead-esque, irmcdermott layout). I'm not entirely sure what the gain is, but I find this family just has a great frequency response in general. If you like this I think you'd enjoy the Fuzzball as well. Of course, this looks awesome as usual!
