Which solder station should i buy?

The basic Weller station from Sears. Its no frills, but is cheap and high quality. It will increase the quality of your soldering 10 fold. $50

I've got the WESD51... and it is fantastic.  You don't need something this good, but if you can, go for it.

I love the digitally controlled irons.

Hakko 888 lover here for over a year now. Same tip still rockin' it.

+1 on the Hakko 888 - I've had mine for a couple months, and it makes things so much easier. It also heats to temp in under a minute. My Weller WLC100 was okay, but I had to turn it on and then go do something else for 10-15 minutes while it heated up.
