9v battery 9v power supply switching

i know there has to be an answer to this in here some where, but i can't seem to word it right to get an answer. how do you wire up a box so you can use a 9v battery, or a 9v power supply, without taking the battery out?

Use the extra lug on a skeleton jack to switch the battery in when you plug a jack in..

No problemo, i never put batteries in them myself, too many pedals to run off battery power, can't make my own batteries ;)
