LaVache Transistor Suggestions?

Just threw together a LaVache last night using the new board, but I am without a 2n3565. It sounds pretty good already with a 2n5088, so I can't wait to hear the 2n3565.

While I'm waiting for my next parts order to come in, are there any other suggestions to try with the LaVache? Or, should I just be patient and wait for the 2n3565?

For the record, the new board fits in a 1590A enclosure quite nicely (without a second stomp for boost, I wired it to a SPDT switch).

2n3904? I think that's what Nick Greer uses in his Electra-based pedals.
