I spent a bit of time this evening searching for the 500D schematic (3-knob), and all I'm seeing are 1 or maybe 2 knob versions.

I'm wondering if this one is somewhere between the classic simple boost schematic and Beavis Audio's Trostsky drive (subbing a pot for the bright cut switch). Any thoughts?

Well I think I'm on the right track. I was confused, because it shares a name with the in-guitar mod from Electra, which is what those 0-pot schematics are for. TIL.

None of the schematic links (that aren't just the in-guitar derived circuit) work on the wayback machine. Also crazy it had so many names for the same circuit, but that proved helpful.

Looks like they were on the trail, too and the 600D is a close descendant. "basically a D+ with BF tone" he calls it

But thanks to its many names, a post on FSB has a drawing of the Loco Box Mysto-Dysto (500D)
