Question about film caps

I'm looking for nanofarad film caps for my Donut, but all I find are micro and pico caps. I know 47nF is .047uF. Are these values interchangeable in capacitors?

Yep, those are the same, you can use them.

Things to watch out for is the physical size of the capacitor (will it fit on the board), the maximum voltage (is it higher than what you'll be pumping into it) and the polarity if that is relevant to the capacitor you end up with.

Looking like Topmay TMC05. I might box it in a 1590G as a first build. That would probably give me a bit more room. Thanks for info. It's been 30 years since I built circuits.

Good advice members have given you.  I would just add one more thing.  Polyesters are 100 times more
distortion than polyprops; and they don't cost that much more.  Unless you want some distortion, use the
PP.  I like WIMA PPs, and it seems from reading the fx ped stuff for past year, that ped builders like them
also.
Thanks for the chance to help; I hope I have done so.  Everything all the other members told you is
100% solid in my opinion.  If you want to really understand; get some docs from say WIMA, Kemet,
or say Vishay/BC and read up on ESR, and tan-theta, etc.   This info is not really needed most of
the time in building audio stuff, but maybe you run into a project that needs low ESR and you say
what is that.  Read it once or twice and now its yours.  The more you know about the components
you use, the more effective are precise are your designs and builds.
