Green Bean schematic question

Ok, I just have a quick question about some components. I built a Tonepad El Griton screamer a while back and now a buddy wants me to build one for him, but I wanted to try the new Bean pedal instead. Comparing the schematics, there are a few component value differences which don't concern me, but there are some additional parts in the Green Bean and I am just wondering what they are there for? I am still trying to learn the workings of these circuits, so any help is appreciated.

On the Green Bean, the additional parts I am referring to are R17, D6 and C11. I think D6 is just a protection diode, and are C11 and R17 just for filtering for the power or what purpose do they serve?
