So i wired up and FINALLY finished my dead ringer today. Bypassed everything works fine. But as soon as i turn it on, i have a very loud high pitched...sound...(cant really describe the sound) And when i play my guitar it sort of sounds like a ring modulator underneath. I double checked the wiring and everything LOOKS fine. I also checked the boost switch but it seems like when i turn it on nothing happens.

The ONLY substitute i used is For R3 and R15 i couldnt find a 510K So i wired two seperate resistors unto that spot to make up the value.

help?

Could be a ground problem.  How are you testing it.  In an enclosure or out.  Pics of your wiring may be helpful.  IC voltages.  We need a few more details to be able to help.

i did it outside an enclosure. and i ran a aligator clip from both of the sleeves of the jacks to a common ground. Pics will have to be taken later.
