For what it is worth, I like my new strings, but I need to completely redo my entire setup due to the difference in tension.  I think the strings are sitting in the nut just fine, so I won't file that at all.  But, I have to adjust the neck relief and intonation.  Also wouldn't hurt to double check saddle height and pickup height. Thankfully, I added extra springs to deck the otherwise floating bridge long ago.
In short, I still have nothing constructive to add regarding whether Infeld strings are any different from what I had been using because I changed way to many variables.

But, I think I can safely say that I now like 10s better than 9s.  They are louder and clearer, less rubber band sounding.
