Mandroid troubleshooting question

I built a second mandroid. It sounds great, even better than the first I think. Everything functions as it should except the splode switch. It literally does nothing. It is not the switch. The function is just ramping no the warp pot right? So I can just tie pot legs together to get the effect. But I am just curious what would make the spot on the board not work. A couple of my ic voltages are off based on the build doc. First my ic 2 pin one voltage is negative instead of positive.

Honestly I like how it sounds now and tying the splode to the warp pot works fine. I am just curious what is going on.

I know this is an old thread, but I had the same problem,. If you notice on page 9 of the schematic/ build instruction doc, it shows how to hook up an exp jack or how to wire it if you want to exclude this feature. As soon as I wired the jack 'closed' ,the splode mode worked.
