help inserting an image

can someone please help save my sanity... how on earth do I insert an image in my post? ( I do not want to attach an image, I want the pic to show in the body of the posy) thanks

First, upload the picture somewhere. I'm fond of Imgur, but any host will do.

Once you have that, you can either copy the "share" link, which will have (img)blahblah.png(/img) but with square brackets and paste that directly into text,

Or,

Copy the images URL (right click, copy image location) and then click the forum button shown below, and paste the url between the img tags
