electric mistress (current lover) with mn3209. any mods suggested?

Hi guys. i'm build an electric mistress (current lover) and i wanted to try a mn3209 instead of the mn3007.
what should i do? can the mn3209 take the 9v with no problem, or should i limit it to 8.2v (via zener diode)?
i was thinking about removing the 4049 buffer. do i have to do anything else?
what about the 680pf cap?
