Can I put a road rage on a Rustbucket?

Its supposed to be 18v, so can I just put a road rage in there? I know it will be tight, but is there any reason an outside 18v supply is suggested in the BOM?
I build, and once in a while I might sell, pedals as "Vertigo Effects".

Short answer: No

Too much draw for a pump charge

Im interested in the same thing, as requiring a separate power supply might be a deal breaker for me.

According to the build docs for the two projects the Rustbucket needs 100mA and LT1054 can put out 100mA. Is that cutting it too close? Is there any fancy charge pump that can supply more than 100mA?

Ive also heard something mentioned here and there about how its not good to have two charge pumps in one enclosure (or even the same effects chain?). Does anyone have any comment on that? would they make heterodyning noises together even if their individual clock frequencies are above the hearing range?

My only experience with charge pumps so far has been a cheap Tayda one with a 10kHz clock frequency. It was not a good experience even just on its own.

Not going to work. You have to use an 18v supply.
