I just finished my build of the Kraken (although I did have some grounding errors on my part by trying to omit the battery from the design), now it's ready to be boxed up. I was wondering if anyone had access to a photoshop/drill file for this project? I noticed there is no link in the pdf for it

Thanks!

Jebus

Hey!

There's a drilling template on the fifth page of the build doc: http://www.madbeanpedals.com/projects/Kraken/Kraken.pdf

Normally with the image in the pdf, it isn't the right size so you can cut it out and use it to drill on top of the enclosure, like you can with the psd file printed at 100%. Do you know of a good way to do that?

Jebus

I have succesfully printed multiple Madbean drilling layouts from the build PDFs and they have turned out perfect. Only thing needed to do is to set scaling to none in the printing options: http://www.pdfonline.com/easypdf/manual/source/images/reader_print_scaling.gif . :) Works for me, at least.

Interesting, I will definitely give that a try and let you know. Thank you!

Yay! Remember to measure before you drill it. I usually compare the picture on the paper to the size of the enclosure and the size of the PCB just to make sure. :)

if you are using pcb mounted pots/switches you can also check if your print is the correct size by overlaying the print with the pcb. The prints drill hole horizontal distances have to align with the pot's middle pins.
