Juansolo sent me couple months ago these boards, layout by Kunfuz, Eagle schematic by Chuckbuick from the most excellent Dragon Armor project... wow! lol

In the name of Chugg, that's a lot of chugging for such a small box. Nailed perfectly those old Suffocation/Dying Fetus toanz.. friggin' awesome!

Killer layout!

And the bus.... a buddy is doing some intensive speaker, power amp routing.... needed some boxes.

Finally found a use for those 3PDT washers i've been collecting forever.

Those Tight Metulz are freakin awesome!!  Man, your circuit building skillz are amazing. Like a machine churning them out perfect every time.  Great job.

Thanks, yup was designed to be able to mount the switch completely at the bottom of enclosure and also have enough clearance on the component side of daugther board to clear fully enclosed jacks.

Sweet!  I'm glad you finally built some of these, Rej.  It's my go to distortion.  I've revised the layout with an on-board charge pump but haven't verified it yet.  When I built my SMT version I added a voltage up-convert board to run it at 18v.  I'm curious whether there is much difference between 9 and 18 volts.

I also think that for all the metal you get that it is a fairly quiet circuit, even without the gate.  But the gate is one of the interesting points of this circuit.

The difference between 9V and 18V operation is major in this case, significant difference in audible headroom, compression and efficiency of the controls... it's meant to be runned at 18V...  the sound really bring me to the Engl Fireball serie or lead channel of their Savage120 model.. quite impressive.

Yep, it's quite an efficient circuit! Never built a TripleWreck, i've never been too much into distortion boxes since i usually get that sound from my lead channel. I do have a pcb of that from pickdropper, should give it a go....
