NO Tao tap tempo question

So I have an NO spdt soft touch for the liquid mercury  phaser. My question is this, the NO designation means normally off or open, so there's no continuity between the lugs until I he stomp is pressed,, or do I have it backwards?

NO is for normally open.

Your right, no continuity until pressed.
