New Pickups. Which is which???

Hey All

A quick non-pedal related question for you lovely people.

I've just bought a new set of 3 Fender Tex Mex pickups as below:



How on earth are you supposed to tell which pickup is bridge, middle or neck? I'm bamboozled.

Before you do anything, measure the DC resistance for each pickup. Then others can chime in about the order of placement.

I would assume that the highest resistance is the bridge, lowest is neck. That makes figuring out the middle pretty easy.

Is the middle reverse wound? Is there a standard for wire color used in Fender pups? The multimeter method seems like a good plan.

Neck: White lead
Middle: Red lead
Bridge: Yellow lead

I didn't know either but I've seen enough sets with different colors for each that I assumed there might be.

Per my fender rep I work with on occasion for repair stuff he says the texmex have that specific color code. He also said most american strat pickups have white as hot and the ground lead is color coded for each position.
