Switching between ICs

I am working on a project that I would like to wire up a toggle to switch from a LM301 ot a LM308. Is it as easy as tying the pins together and just do the switching of V- & V+  to supply power to the chip I want to use? I have never done anything like this and before I kill a few chips I thought I would ask.

I swore I seen a Beavis Audio project that he stacked 4 ICs and bent the pins out for the power supplies and used that to switch with. Or did I dream this all up?

I've done it with the LM308 and OP07CP. You can use a 3PDT if you're ok with giving each LM its own compensation cap. I recently picked up some 6PDT rotaries from Mouser specifically for IC switching. It took months for the backorder to come in.

I'm pretty sure you can use a double pole switch and just switch on the input pins maybe output to avoid extra noise
