Power Switching Issue

Hey Guys

Experimenting with using a 9v plug/Battery switch in a fuzz using a switchable dc jack.

With the battery plugged the pedal works perfectly, however when I use the plug (battery disconnected) it's just silence. 

Attached is a photo of the guts (Top left of board is 9v on board)

I know black end of battery is not attached to ring, was just experimenting to see if I could get plug to work

Any ideas?

Believe the battery needs to go to the center terminal of the power jack, the board connects to the outer terminal. As is when you plug in you disconnect the outer terminal isolating it so no power flows to the board.
