I have acquired in trade a pair of NYC big muffs, with the intention to include as many mods as possibly, since those enclosures are So. Damn. Big.
not sure why, just seems like a good/dumb idea :D

Here's what I have so far:
focus and pre controls (from the Musket fuzz) - I've designed a little drop-in PCB in eagle, with board mounted pots.
Clipping mods - originally I was going to go with DPDT toggles for Si/LED/Ge for each clipping stage, But now I'm thinking rotaries might be the way to go  (none, si, ge, mosfets, LEDs, Sym/Assym???)
Mids controls
Grounded emitters (all stages, or just clipping stages?)
cap switching - coupling caps and clipping caps?
Tone bypass - not sure this would be work as planned if I do the mids pot too?
tone whicker - removes the 390/470pf caps from the clipping stages

anything i've missed?
;D

That's a pretty full list! Check out the area on kit rae's page and read the part on which parts have the most effect on the sound. You could put in a toggle/rotary for the range of those values

I was talking about switches to change:
-feedback/filter caps
-clipping/blocking caps
-tonestack filters

I know that guy! He used to live in the same city I do. He could fix anything electronic. His whole bedroom appartment was full of circuits, pedals and amps in various state of dis(repair). He used to troubleshoot my builds that I couldn't get to work. He moved though. And now I have a growing pile of builds that need better troubleshooting than I can do.  :'(
