Impedance, wah and volume pedals.

Hey guys

I'm planning on putting an output buffer into a wah of mine so that it plays nice with my fuzz. However that got me wondering, how much does impedance impact the sweep of a volume pot? Could changing it affect its sweep?

I've also heard of wah pedals and their coupling to pickups. Is this a thing? Would there be a significant difference if I were to have it behind a buffer?

Lastly, how would one go about chaning the impedance on a basic opamp buffer?

What are you planning for signal chain?

I always go with Guitar > Fuzz > Wah > Effects > Buffer

Fuzz ideally needs to be before everything else, don't think they like having buffers before them.

Edit: This is for fuzz face based fuzz pedals, others might play nicer having a wah or buffer before them.

According to Pinkster on tagboardfx: He "found a 50k pot in series with the output of the wah board before the switch. wire it as a variable resistor, and you can dial in a resistance that works better than this buffer does. "
