How to check that vactrol works?

I am building uvics3 with wah standard pot and lfo was working and now it is not. How can I check that vactrol is good or bad?

Measure resistance then measure resistance with voltage applied to the led. Be sure to use a safe voltage level in order to not pop the LED. Something like 9v with a 4k7 or higher would do the trick. If the resistance is different with voltage applied then it works. If not you most likely toasted it.
