Well that pre-emphasis and de-emphasis network is the only thing affecting the dry signal really... I mean you can reduce C39 as well but the dry signal is just the buffer, inverting opamp and then output inverting opamp, the wet is just mixed in to it.

Yep. Perhaps messing with C39 may help.
