Because having dirty clothes and paying lots of money to the repairman is way overrated!  :)
Yeah! Here in europe the repairing service is totally overrated indeed! People dint repair most of the components, they buy a new part what can be very expensive..:S
If i fart a lot,  it means that i'm a Gas expert ?

I've never repaired a washing machine, but I did fix a malfunctioning PS3 controller a few weeks ago. It was registering random button inputs when moving the analog joysticks. Long story short, there's a connector on the inside that's only held in place by pressure and it wasn't making good contact. One carefully placed piece of rolled up electrical tape later, no more random button inputs.
