Hey guys,
I was thinking of getting some more ECQ caps for my webstore and was wondering what the most common values were for films. I went through all of the projects on the madbean project page and added up the number times film cap values appeared.  I've left out 1uf (too expensive in ecq) and double ups (1590a rat and normal rat for example).  I thought this info might be useful to you all, if your planning on stocking up, or for future reference.  So heres the rough guide:

470n – 1
330n – 2
220n – 22
150n – 2
100n – 67
82n - 1
68n – 5
50n – 3
47n – 28
39n – 2
33n – 8
27n – 1
22n – 13
15n – 7
10n – 26
8n2 – 2
6n8 – 9
5n6 – 1
4n7 – 8
4n – 1
3n3 – 9
3n – 1
2n2 – 15
1n8 – 2
1n5 – 3
1nf – 15

Cheers

I did this when I first started also. Worked out well for the more common parts. Thanks for sharing your list.

Np. I think this is the third time I've done it and the conclusion is usually 1 4.7 10 47 100 (uf, nf, etc).  But its interesting to see some of the other values that come up commonly.  like 220nf 22nf and 2.2nf.  I wouldn't have picked those values as one to stock up on.

This is great.
thanks.
I did the same thing a while back for log and antilog pots for madbean, chi_boy, jmk, 1775, grind, ROG, and a couple odd and ends.  To give me an idea of proportions.

That's cool!  Hey I did notice though, not 100kb (single gang)?
Its interesting to see these lists.  I would never have thought 500ka would be that common, but there you go!

these are just the logaritmics.  I had plenty of linears.  I was rolling my own log pots using linears and resistors across the logs for taper and less common values.
I will look and see what the 500ka's were for.

some of the 500ka pots are for jfet emulators (supreaux deux) and some gain pots.  I probably added 6 or 7 to have on hand for humbucker equipped guitars.
