Made my Blues Breaker clone this week.Used the GGG layout and changed some components(Two stackedIC's: TL072 and LF353N) plus changed the .01 caps on the tonestack for .022.
The pedal sounds good, yet it is for sure very glassy. Was thinking of trying different diodes.I have the stock in there now.
Any suggestions???
I have a pair of OA91's germ and some apparently old 1N914A diodes laying around a board from an old Boat transmission Radio.
I was looking at BAT41's BAT85's on the Silicon side and on the GERM was thinking the OA1160(if I can get them) or the 1N270.
Any ideas on how this particular overdrive would behave if I had a pair of germaniums tossed in there????????
