Got this new toy over the weekend

Kick, Snare, Hats and Toms are all analogue.

For just over £100.00 its great fun. Plus it has a built in speaker and can be powered by batteries. Perfect for annoying the wife with while watching TV  ;)

Built in speaker AND batteries? sounds like an epic win to me... must pick one up.

The Volcas look really neat. How's it sound and did you get a chance to check out the others? No one around me carries them, so I haven't been able to hear them in person.

Sounds good to me. The kick, toms, and hat in particular are really nice.

The sequencer is great fun too.

I think even the people that aren't into drum machines would have fun with it.

The speaker doesn't do justice to the bass this thing kicks out though...

Good to hear that they sound good. It would be hard for a speaker in something that small to have any chance with bass. They do look fun. I love the stuff Korg is doing with synths.

Yep I love Korg too.

I also pre-ordered the Volca Keys. £120.00 for an analogue Polysynth  :o :o ;D

There are some good reviews of the whole range on sonic state:
